FLORIDA INVESTIGATIONS INC FL LIC. A2300029
The Dos and Don'ts of Hiring an Investigator
DO contact various investigation agencies in the geographical area that you will need the investigator to conduct the surveillance (or obtain information.) Obtain prices, fees, costs, etc. Make a list of what is and is not included within the fees.
DO NOT announce to people that you have hired or are planning to hire an investigator. If you must tell someone, be very selective and be sure that person can keep this information confidential.
DO consider hiring an attorney. If there are children involved, or if you feel that the situation may turn into a legal battle, it is best to contact a family attorney, divorce attorney, and/or legal counsel that may assist you in planning the proper steps to follow.
Do NOT confront your spouse or mate if you have any reason to believe that the situation may become violent. The health and safety of you and your family are always the most important components of your life, and you should never risk this.
DO verify any investigators licenses by asking to actually see the license. Read the license.
DO NOT hire anyone who is not licensed to conduct surveillance and/or investigative work. You, and or the person you hire, may be breaking applicable laws or regulations.
DO call the investigator rather than email them, because this will enable you to determine more about the investigator or company than an email, or even by reading a web site. Actually speaking to someone by phone can make the difference in whether you will end up being satisfied with the investigator, company, and product (results).
